The work was noting short of excellent – an extremely professional job and with exceptional attention to detail. It was so good in fact I contracted him for another job immediately afterwards which again was executed superbly. An extremely pleasant, curious and personable man. A real pleasure to do business, trustworthy and highly professional. Brain is deserved of one and so I feel it’s my duty to recommend him to those in the Birmingham and surrounding areas.

Internal Painting & Decorating
Painting of woodwork was not very good, had to go all over it again as the brushstrokes showed up too much and not enough paint was used on the brush to give the woodwork a good finish.

Mr west supplied the paints for this job and only gave me gloss and not any undercoat. Without the right paints how was I expected to do a better job. But then what do I know, i've only been decorating for over 40 years.

Also the whole room was severely nicotine stained, consult appropriate literature-sugar soap can only do what it can

Value-I done 2 days work and supplied all tools,sugar soap, and used my own vaccum cleaner on a heavily stained bedroom carpet.
Reliability-The job was completed in the required time and I was trusted to work in the house whiIst Mr West was not there. I am a tradesman not a magician.

In summary: without sanding and unercoating a surface you cannot remove previous brushmarks

If you wanted undercoat you should have asked for it!!
The brushmarks were not previous brushmarks from before, but your own brushmarks for not using enough paint on the brush. Non-drip one-coat gloss has to be put on thick and then quickly spread. Your painting was thin glossy streaks and was nothing to do with vacuum cleaners, nicotine, sugar soap or what was there before.

What's me supplying the paint got to do with how you used it by not putting enough on the brush?!! Why can't you see what I am trying to say - YOU DIDN'T PUT ENOUGH PAINT ON THE BRUSH and skimmed over the surfaces.
End of story now. Finished.
External Painting - Windows & Door
Brian was very friendly and professional throughout the job. The work was to an exceptional standard and we will recommend Brian to all of our family and friends next time they need any decorating done.
