Building job in SW2

Michael came round to give a quote and - as well as being very personable - was also obviously attentive to detail and to the style of work we wanted to achieve. I'm pleased to say that he did not disappoint. Our job was quite large - renovating the entire downstairs living area of a Victorian house - and as it progressed we discovered that it was going to end up being larger and more complicated than any of us expected, due to problems with underpinning/foundations that only became clear once we took the floor up. Michael was unflappable - this unexpected turn was dealt with straight away to an incredibly efficient standard. His team is hard-working and diligent, and the end result truly lived up to our expectations. I do believe Michael very much sets out to make sure his clients get what they want (this is not always my experience with builders). I am more than happy to recommend him and indeed next year intend to have him work with us again.

Painting & decorating job in N1

Michael and his team completely stripped back, prepped and painted the exterior of my house. They did a fantastic job. I wanted the exterior of my house painted to a very high standard so that it looked beautiful and so that I wouldn't have to worry about it again for years to come. When Michael quoted for the work, he was punctual, listened to the brief very well and made smart and informed suggestions. As a result when he quoted for the work it was clear that he understood exactly what I wanted and how it needed to be delivered. As well as delivering a competitive quote, that also meant no nasty surprises later down the line. Michael and his team applied themselves to the job with great commitment, knowledge and craftsmanship. They were punctual, polite, spoke good English a pleasure to have around. They worked hard and were all completely committed to doing the job 'right'. That meant a lot of patient, detailed work to prepare the house properly. Even though in the end the job took longer to complete than anticipated, Michael stuck to his quote and did not make his team rush. This meant the difference between a good job and an excellent job. I am delighted with the level of finish that Michael and his team delivered. I have no hesitation in recommending Time to Refurbish.

Plumbing job in SE13

I had a number of quotes from Co's by using this site and Michael seemed to be the person who spent the longest looking at the job, talking about what I was looking for, asking specific questions and giving ideas when I wasn't entirely sure. The one thing I would say, as I think someone else has pointed out, is if you have specific ideas, make sure they know that. One element of the job was not done exactly as I would have liked, but they had to make the decision when I was not there and in the end it looked fine and has not impacted the overall appearance of the bathroom. Others have mentioned the finish was not up to standard, but I am very happy with the finish of the work, and the two things that were not quite right when the job was finished Michael came back and fixed straight away without any question. I would recommend Michael and time to refurbish and would I use them again.
