Britons ‘prepared to spend £100,000 to improve kitchens’

People in the UK are willing to splash out a huge amount of money in order to achieve the kitchen they have always dreamed of.

George Bond, an interior designer, has spoken on the subject and revealed it is not uncommon for those living in larger properties to spend up to £100,000 on the space. He said the kitchen seems to be a “very important” room in the home for most people.

The expert suggested where once only light woods would have been used, people are now turning to different and heavier materials when giving the space a makeover, possibly with the help of decorators in Norwich. “I had a kitchen I recently designed and we used three shades of wood on it and it looked amazing,” Mr Bond stated.

Last month, Andrew Leech, executive director of the National Home Improvement Council, said bathrooms and kitchens are the most important spaces in a house when it comes to trying to sell it.
