I don’t know about you but I’m tired of hanging chocolate on my Christmas tree.
This year, I’d like something different. It doesn’t matter if it won’t keep for long, the chocolates go in a matter of days in my house!
After searching around for a bit of inspiration, there are some efforts that have remained firmly imprinted on my brain. So I thought I’d share with you my top 5 edible Christmas decorations! It seems I’m not the only one who love Christmas crafts and you may just get a few ideas…
5. Gingerbread friend

At number 5, we have the gingerbread man or woman. It’s easy and it’s classic! Perfect to make with the family too…
4. Meringue snowflake
At number 4, we have a snowflake made from meringue! It looks as delicate as a snowflake itself… What’s not to like?
3. Popcorn garland
A popcorn garland takes the mid-way position! Although it sets off the tinsel with a bang, there’s nothing stopping us from swapping the tinsel for the popcorn entirely. What’s more, a few of these will feed a whole family. Help yourself to the sweet ones but the salted ones are mine…
2. Cookie wreath
Okay so it may be a little large for the tree… but the detail in this wreath is incredible! The snowmen’s hats are quite simply a work of art.
And the winner is…
1. Rice Krispie bauble
A well deserving winner! Looking pretty simple to make (I can shake a hundreds and thousands pot as well as anyone), there’s just something unique about the bauble that sets it apart from the other contenders. From afar, you would do a double take thanks to how realistic they look.
Now, where did I save the recipe…
