Homes to adopt industrial feel?

Decorators in Manchester and other parts of the UK could find themselves bringing an industrial feel to homes in the future. This is because the trend is very popular at the moment, according to DIY SOS presenter and interior designer Julia Kendell.

Dubbed the ‘puritanical look’, it consists of “clean lines” and a “muted colour palette”, she added, with any accessories used being tactile and soft.

“Classic country is another big trend … and that is epitomised by pretty white furniture. It is very fresh but very sophisticated,” Ms. Kendell stated.

As well as this, there has been a hike in those aiming for a glamorous and sophisticated look. This comes after Ms. Kendell remarked householders are looking to personalise their space, as they seek to improve their current house instead of trying for a new abode.

She added the reason for this is that individuals want to experience comfort in their properties
