Homes to become more energy efficient?

Homeowners may seek the services of professionals to help them make their houses more energy efficient.

Andrew Leech, director at the National Home Improvement Council, noted encouraging moderation when it comes to the use of utilities is a good way to help people to go green and so builders in Coventry could be called upon.

“It is a lot of money to invest, but it will help bring down their cost of living in the long run,” Mr. Leech observed.

Unless individuals realise there are benefits to adopting the strategy, they are going to be less likely to opt for it.

His comments come after a poll by Future Friendly found 69 per cent of Britons want to be more environmentally-friendly.

As well as this, 38 per cent of Mancunians use energy monitors, while 91 per cent of Liverpudlians have loft insulation, compared to a national rate of 76 per cent.
