Peter Northwood, our COO (Chief Operating Officer), was featured on BBC Lincolnshire’s radio show Melvyn in the Morning the other day, talking about the best ways to find rated tradesmen and how to stay away from rogue ones.

What do you do at

I’m the Chief Operating Officer, I have overall responsibility for developing our product and services for both homeowners and tradesmen.

Tell us about your background

I’ve been with for one year and have spent the previous 10 years at Director level in large customer service operations.

Describe yourself in 3 words

Passionate, energetic and maybe a bit sarcastic.

What’s the best thing about working at

The team.  The people here are fantastic, everyone knows we have a really great proposition and everybody is really focused on improving the service to tradesmen and homeowners.

What’s the worst thing about working at

…….. too much facial hair in the office!

Olympic size swimming pool (but no, I can’t fit one in my house)

Restoring historic buildings

If you could choose a different career what would it be?

International rugby player or fighter pilot.

I don’t think I’d want to be a celebrity, I just want to be look back on my life and be proud of what I’ve achieved
