‘Local tradesmen’ called in by new owners

It has been claimed that more and more people are looking to create a home that is more suited to their own tastes immediately after purchasing it.

William Davies, managing director at Aspect Maintenance, says that many buyers already budget for home improvements when they purchase a home.

“A trend that we have seen a lot more of over the last couple of years [is that] as soon as someone moves in to a property they seem to want to put their stamp on it,” he says.

As a result, those who have moved to completely new areas may be on the lookout for local recommended tradesmen to complete this necessary work.

Mr Davies claims that the most popular kinds of home improvements are to kitchens and bathrooms.

He adds that many people are also electing to stay in their existing homes and improve them, rather than move to a new property.
