Spring has sprung – it’s time to brighten up your interiors
Believe it or not spring is here. Between the rain showers anyway. Typical of the British seasons the best of this year’s spring and summer will be over before we know it. Therefore, make haste, replace heavy knit throws for light linens and inject some floral prints. Swapping soft furnishings is a cheap and easy way to freshen up the interior of your home without much expense or work. By rotating soft furnishings you can increase their life span, the perfect opportunity to send the curtains to be dry cleaned, and you won’t be bored of looking at the same cushions all year every year.

By keeping hard furnishing neutral you can experiment more with fabrics and patterns, injecting a bright fresh colour palette during the summer months and richer, more indulgent tones during the colder months. With simple touches in the kitchen, bright flower pots and displaying floral china, it doesn’t take much to change the look from warm and cosey to bright and airy. The trick is to keep the walls neutral.

But if you do decide to go all out, the ultimate spring colour palette… mustard and pink. Don’t you agree?
