Homeowners around the UK have been advised that it is time to take action if they do not want to become one of the latest victims of the weather.

“Taking a few simple actions such as lagging pipes and keeping your home well maintained will go a long way to limiting the damage winter weather might cause,” he stated.

In December, the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors recommended Britons carry out an audit on their homes before the worst of the cold weather sets in.
