We’ve been out on the road with one of our newest tradespeople, Danny Allen, who recently signed up to our new annual plan. He’s the owner of Astrid Building Services, based in London, and we filmed him testing out the benefits he gets as a Rated People member.
With our new annual plans, tradespeople get member benefits premium, a collection of over 200 discounts and offers. These include free phone insurance, free breakdown cover, up to 40% off at Jewson, 5p a litre off your fuel, plus discounts at supermarkets, Caffè Nero and other high street brands. They could save you around £800 a year. Our members get this great value all year round, and that’s on top of accessing 75,000 job leads every month.
Danny put member benefits premium to the test and saved over £240 on his first day. Compared to the monthly cost of £20, he’s already made his money back – and that’s not all. He also gets £20 credit every month to spend on job leads. Now that’s what you call a win-win.
We met up in North London and followed Danny as he used his benefits to save money at Jewson, Esso, Sainsbury’s and Caffè Nero.
After that, he went to check on a big refurb job his team have been doing in Kensington. It was here we took some photos to use in our online and print advertising, accompanying the video we were filming.
Danny also took the opportunity to insure his phone for free – an offer worth £179. And seeing as it was Friday, he bagged a 20% discount at Hungry House to get pizza in for him and the guys.
From January 3rd 2017 you’ll be seeing our ads in various trade publications and websites, promoting the value tradespeople get from our new plans. Get your new year off to a great start.
Speaking about the campaign, Danny said ‘I had some doubt at the start whether I could make as many savings as Rated People claimed, but I found amazing business and personal benefits which mounted up to some really good savings, even in just one day.
‘Over the course of a year it costs £240, and I made that back within a day. The phone insurance benefit is great, which is worth £179, not to mention the rest of the savings I make on everyday items and business necessities. This is in addition to the value of work sourced from the job leads I get. It’s definitely worth taking out a membership with Rated People for the benefits alone.’
Nihal Pekbeken, Rated people CMO added: ‘We’re proud to be the first in the industry to offer benefits of this nature as part of our membership plans. Our tradespeople want value for money so this is our way of ensuring they get it, even if they’re too busy and don’t need the job leads – our marketing campaign reflects this value. Our tradespeople are testing savings out for themselves. And their testimony is what matters.’
All membership prices exclude VAT.
