This type of insurance helps with legal fees and payments if a lawsuit is brought against you seeking restitution for damages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Public liability insurance protects you if a dissatisfied customer brings a lawsuit against you, even if the work you\u2019ve completed is valid. Without this insurance, any unforeseeable events could leave you liable for thousands of pounds in damage. Depending on where you live, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hse.gov.uk\/pubns\/hse40.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">rules and requirements for the compensation<\/a> will vary. Depending on your level of cover, you can be paid for several years if you\u2019re seriously ill and unable to work, but the amount usually reaches a maximum of 80% of your standard income.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Income protection insurance is often confused with accident and sickness cover, but they have a few<a href=\"http:\/\/dianepenelope.com\/personal-accident-insurance-vs-income-protection-insurance-which-do-i-need\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> key differences<\/a>.
