During the coronavirus pandemic, many of us have become even more aware of the importance of our mental and physical wellbeing. As of 3<sup>rd<\/sup> July, 70% of UK adults have reported feeling somewhat or very worried about the effect of COVID-19 on their life, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ons.gov.uk\/peoplepopulationandcommunity\/healthandsocialcare\/healthandwellbeing\/bulletins\/coronavirusandthesocialimpactsongreatbritain\/3july2020#indicators-of-well-being-and-finances\"><strong>Office of National <\/strong><\/a><a aria-label=\"Statistics (opens in a new tab)\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ons.gov.uk\/peoplepopulationandcommunity\/healthandsocialcare\/healthandwellbeing\/bulletins\/coronavirusandthesocialimpactsongreatbritain\/3july2020#indicators-of-well-being-and-finances\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Statistics<\/strong><\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To help manage workplace wellbeing, Mental Health First Aid England recommends that you:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Be flexible \u2013 for example, by encouraging flexible working hours and paying extra attention to workload management for employees that have challenging circumstances, such as having children to look after during the day.<\/li><li>Encourage best practice \u2013 reminding employees to take care of themselves by taking regular breaks, exercising and eating well, amongst other things.<\/li><li>Make time for supportive conversations \u2013 setting time aside to talk to anyone who\u2019s struggling with their mental health.<\/li><li>Don\u2019t pour from an empty cup \u2013 If you don\u2019t prioritise your own wellbeing, then you won\u2019t be able to effectively support anyone else\u2019s wellbeing. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Read more about <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ioshmagazine.com\/2020\/04\/17\/5-tips-supporting-employee-wellbeing-during-lockdown\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>how you can support employee wellbeing during lockdown<\/strong><\/a> on the IOSH website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2.
