This will allow you to increase your workforce at a reduced cost and will also help you make sure that you have enough staff to meet the increased consumer demand for green jobs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Plan for Jobs 2020 includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Cash incentives for new apprentices<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>You\u2019ll get \u00a32,000 for each new apprentice that you hire aged under 25, and \u00a31,500 for new apprentices aged over 25, between 1<sup>st<\/sup> August 2020 and 31<sup>st<\/sup> January 2021. This cash incentive is in addition to the existing \u00a31,000 payment that you already get for new 16-18-year-old apprentices and apprentices aged under 25 with an Education, Health and Care Plan. This incentive will rise to \u00a33,000 for new apprentices taken on from 1<sup>st<\/sup>\u00a0April 2021 to 30<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0September 2021, regardless of their age. Read more in our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ratedpeople.com\/blog\/rated-peoples-guide-to-apprenticeships-for-employers#coronavirus-apprenticeship-employer-incentives\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>apprenticeships guide for employers<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Job Retention Bonus<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>You\u2019ll get a \u00a31,000 incentive for each furloughed employee that you bring back (they must be continuously employed until at least 31<sup>st<\/sup> January 2021).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Kickstart Scheme<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>A new scheme, offering 6-month work placements for 16-24-year-olds that are on Universal Credit and are at risk of long-term unemployment. There\u2019s no cost to you if you provide work placements through the scheme. This is because the government will cover 100% of the National Minimum Wage plus the associated National Insurance contributions and employer minimum automatic enrolment contributions. Employers can now apply for funding through the scheme on <a aria-label=\"gov.uk (opens in a new tab)\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/guidance\/check-if-you-can-apply-for-a-grant-through-the-kickstart-scheme\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Gov.uk<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Traineeships<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>You&#8217;ll get \u00a31,000 for each trainee (aged between 16 and 24) that you provide with work experience.
