Usually, the home will need to have, or be able to have, a valid <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ratedpeople.com\/blog\/most-new-homes-now-rated-as-highly-energy-efficient\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Energy Performance Certificate (EPC)<\/a><\/strong> with an A or B rating to be eligible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How much money could I save with a green mortgage?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Certain green mortgage deals offer cheaper rates than other types of mortgages, whilst other deals offer you cashback. Some lenders offer both benefits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Cheaper rates: <\/strong>Green mortgage deals typically offer loan-to-value (LTV) rates of at least 75%, but many go up to 90%.<\/li><li><strong>Cashback: <\/strong>Some providers will give cashback to your solicitor on the same day you drawdown your mortgage.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The exact amount of money you\u2019ll save with a green mortgage depends on the lender you choose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aside from saving money on your mortgage itself, having an eco-friendly home will save you money long-term.
