Having a new wash basin or bathroom sink installed in your home is a basic job and a good plumber should be able to do this in an hour or so if it is replacing an old one. If this is the case, then it is simply a case of removing the old basin and hooking the new one up to the water supply and fitting taps and any other details.
There may be some remedial work to do to make good any tiling or décor around the sink, once your plumber has attached it to the wall. If the sink is an entirely new installation in a new room, or a new location, then the job will take a little more time. Your plumber may have to add new pipes in this case, so that the sink is linked to the water supply and the plughole is hooked up so that it can drain away.
The overall cost of the job will depend upon the cost of the basin that you choose, as well as how elaborate or decorative the fittings are. But the costs of installation should not be excessive or hugely variable.
