Hi Mark, if the circuit breaker trips straight away you probably have a short circuit in the connections to your new fitting. If the circuit trips after a while the circuit may be overloaded. If you add up the wattage of all the lamps in this circuit and devide this value by 230 you will have the current in the circuit (when all the lights are on) in Amps
