You can attach the heater to a fused spur with a fuse no greater than 13Amp. The total current in the circuit will be: 11.2 Amp (1700W/230V=7.3Amp for the heater and 900W/230V=3.9Amp for the other appliance). So the 16Amp MCB should be more than enough if the thickness of the cable in the circuit is 2.5mm2 which can withstand a current of 20Amp under normal conditions.
1700W/230V = 7,4A So You should use 13 Amp double pole switch for this storage heater. Best
Hi . Current will be around 7.1 - 7,4 Amp so I suggest connected it via double pole fused switch min 16 Amp with 13 Amp fuse . Other appliance will take around 3,75 Amp so can not affect circuit with MCB 16 A. . I suggest to check also cable size . Bogdan ,, PROTON ,,
The toal load on that circuit is 11.3 amps so I would suggest using a 16 amps breaker
