Is this worktop corian, (plastic) if so you can get a corian glue to match the colour of the worktop this can be applied to the damaged area ( depending on the damage ) left to dry and sanded. Theses tops can be sanded down and polished to almost new. The cut out for the sink can be made with a router or jigsaw with a fine blade .
