Move a kitchen sink

Posted by Sophie Conaghan, on
How easy is it to move a kitchen sink and plumb it in (would require a new hole in external wall and joining up new pipework to original pipework) ?

Karl Hockless

From what you have said Sophie it sounds reasonably straightforward with the outlet being on an external wall. You may need to reconfigure your kitchen units to accommodate the new sink position and it is always wise to keep laminate worktop joints away from the sink where possible to avoid them getting wet and blowing. Sophie, Its straight forward, although i would agree with Craig, do some planning then call in someone who knows what they are doing. to get some quotes.

Hello Sophie, Moving a kitchen sink would faily simple but would create some issues with worktops and cupboards. Just ask yourself what affect this would have on the new and old layout, then make a decision.

Hi Sophie, Its reasonably straight forward , really depends on the current plumbing configuration & how far from the existing position you intending to move it , best case simply reconfigure existing plumbing to suite new position and worst case small hole external wall a Diamond core bit .
