How much does a change of lock (front door and back door) cost?

Hi, Susan, the answer will depend to some extent on what locks you have front and back at the moment. Some locks have a cylinder that can be replaced, others (lever mortice) require the entire case to be replaced. Do your insurers offer a discount if you fit locks to BS 3621? - known as 'insurance standard'. These are more expensive and also more secure.. It is a good idea to have the same key for both doors, keying alike takes a little longer and costs a little more. Your windows should also be lockable.
