We have an old garden wall. IT is single brick and about 20 feet long. We want this wall taking down and rebuilding to be two bricks wide. We would like to reuse the bricks and also to use reclaimed bricks to match.
Prices wanted for local builder who needs a good bricklayer. Rear ground floor extension in Woodford E18.
Can email drawings and programme for Labour prices.
Bricklaying to start Begining july. Other jobs available to price.
We are looking to landscape our back garden entirely in time but as a first job we need to put up a new garden wall at the back with a wooden bench built into it and raised tree bed behind bench, the brick will be rendered and will require a small foundation.. Almost exactly as shown in the picture.
There is also another job which could be offered to the right tradesman depending on services offered and positive proof of work done with additional budget available. This is to paint the front of our house with some preparation work required to fix damaged areas.
We have exposed the brickwork of our chimney breast but some of the brickwork is in need of repointing and cleaning if possible. Several bricks are damaged and could do with being replaced ( we have plenty spare old bricks)
The property is early 1900 and the mortar is black ash so we would like any repointing to be done with the same to retain the character .
Please contact me if interested to give a quote
2 sections each ~6 feet long x 2' high x 18" wide sections of wall /raised bed are in poor state of repair- mortar falling out. Would like to tidy it all up. I think all the blocks are there . Guess ~ 50 blocks to be relaid . Photos available.Only a "little job" but might suit someone who is a better brick layer than me....
There are 60 burwell white type bricks needing to be laid to brick up in the back of a fireplace I have opened up and repaired. Fulbourn Cambridge. As its a small number of bricks will pay £150 for the completed job. Private customer.
We had a bifolding door put in four years ago, and the builders did a lousy job of replacing the bricks. We need someone to fix it up (mostly repointing, but also some brickwork). A structural engineer is coming on Thursday at 11:00, to inspect the work and write a report so we can get a certificate of regularization. They may want to remove some bricks to see what is behind them. For that reason we want a builder there to help with that. At the same time you can see what needs to be done, and give a quote for the full job.
Hi I have terraced house that needs stitching and repointing at the back of the house. There is two places that require the stitching and less than 2.5sqm of pointing in certain areas. You will need a ladder and your tools.
I am buying a mid terrace property and have had a timber/damp report carried out.
The report has stated observations that the chimney has visible foliage from the chimney stack suggesting it is not watertight and maybe allowing moisture ingress during rainfall.
The chimney I believe is shared.
I am interested to know the process and costs involved with ensuring the chimney is watertight and suitable for use.
Looking for a quote to rebuild a garden/drive wall which supports the wooden gates at the entrance to our drive. The wall was knocked down when a car reversed into it and some of the foundation bricks are still in situ, but most of the brick wall and gate post/pillar have been knocked down.

In addition to this issue, a garden wall rebuild at the front of the property is needed, and repair and repainting of stone windowsills and front door decorative surrounds.
