Remaining existing sandstone wall pulled down, some excess earth moved and new wall put up. Wall is approx 26ft long and 5ft high. Looking to get new wall made of concrete blocks or similar, doesn't have to be decorative.
Moved into Semi detached house built in 50's. Have noisey neighbour issue. Sound travelling through party wall but also seems to travel through the shared chimney stack. Some advice we've had is to stuff accoustic mineral wool part way up the flu cavity. We'd like someone to assess whether this is feasible, gauge how much work would be required and quote for doing that job. The downstairs fireplace is closed off - possibly just plasterboard preventing us from seeing up the chimney. Attaching pictures.
Build a greenhouse dwarf wall 10 courses high. Base is approx 14' x 10' around 600 brick. Rebuild 1 full pillar and half a pillar and also raise the panel brickwork another 3 to 4 courses around 350 brick topped with a 6" x 36" flat concrete stone coping. All materials and mixer on site.
Have a wall round back garden, and on outside of wall (not inside garden) some bricks are loose and some have fallen out.
Looking for an idea of what needs done - ie - do the bricks just need repointing or do they need replacing, and how much it's going to cost.
I live in falkirk, so would only consider someone local. Please only get in touch if you are local, thanks
I need to shift our existing and heavy garden gate 2-3 ft to one side and rebuild the subsequent hole using the bricks from the new site. The end brick work is crumbling and cannot support the leverage from the weight of the gate anymore.
6 foot high 1.5 foot wide garden retaining wall on 2 sides of terraced property garden. Likely unable to be repaired and will need removal and replacement, probably with a fence due to time required for other work / cost. If possible to safely repair would be very pleased, but needs to be safe due to having tennants
