The driveway currently has gravel on it. We have a budget of £5000 and want to see if this is doable on this amount of money. We are open to more cost effective ideas of what we could do to not for this budget- we just want it looking neat and tidy!
Work involves cutting back existing wall, 2 new brick piers , forming new curved steps, laying sandstone paving to steps & “patio” formed at top by house, plus laying new drive using (fingers crossed) the paving blocks from in front of house & the slope that we are re paving along with some I have from elsewhere.
There is also a small area towards the front of the drive where we want to increase the area
I need a written estimate for the above job. The driveway is approximately 42 square meters. There are tree roots which have lifted the current crazy paving.

We need 120sqm of clearance to include small hedge, lawn, old flower beds, concrete and slab work. Install 4 bays of new concrete posts, gravel boards, and 900mm close-board fence panels. and Then lay new blockpaving and drainage over the 120sqm, with a 15m curb to edge front.
We want an area of our front garden which is current grassed into gravelled parking area. The dimensions of the area is 16ft x 19ft (4900 x 5800 mm), with a small slope towards the front of the house.
The grassed area is surrounded by a concrete driveway on one side, and concrete pathway on two sides and a low box hedge between the pavement and grassed area.
On the side of the grassed area bordering the driveway there is the main stopcock for the house
**only set the fee low for lead to be cheap for contractor to buy. Understand this would not be within this amount.
Renovation project in Thetford. Driveway space for 1 car. Old and needs to be dug out and re done. Happy for re concrete or tarmac. Or any other suggestions for low cost and quick turnaround.
I have a driveway area aprox 5.5m by 4.5m but this is not a rectangle. Currently this has stones and lots of weeds but looking to change to block paving suitable to park a car on. I am looking for a rough idea on price.
I'm moving into a new house next week and it has a front garden which i'd like turned into a driveway. Approx 5 x 5 meters in size. (Most of the houses on the street have done this already)
The garden shrubs and plants will have been removed but there's a low front wall which will need removing and the lip on the curb will have been lowered by the council.
I bought a mid terrace house and I want to make the back yard free of maintenance. The gate is broken and the wooden fence may need strengthened and replaced in part. I would also like the grass replaced with slabs.
