We have had a new fireplace hearth fitted which has left an area of the floor uncovered by our existing “click in” floorboards.
The job is to remove 2 boards (that had been cut in half to be thinner so the old hearth would fit) and replace with 2 new boards. We have the new boards already (left over from when the floor was originally laid).
There may then be a small gap between the new board and the fireplace hearth (although it would only be a few mm). This could possibly be filled with some form of grouting, or beading could be fitted. Beading would need to be sourced to match as closely as possible with the floor.
Carpet damaged in doorway; carpeted area is the lounge and wooden flooring in the kitchen. Carpet has frayed at the edging and we’d like to get it fixed before it gets worse.
Thank you for your help.
We're looking for someone who can lay carpet tiles in one of our units. It needs to be glued down because the ground is cement (no nails). We supply the glue and the tiles. We need a company which can remove old carpet. The unit is 23 square meters. We would like it to be completed asap.
Carpet and underlay to be fitted to:
- stairs as a runner with whipped edges
- landing, with one section whipped (along bannister) and the rest flush to the wall
The house is Victorian period so hallway runs parallel to the stairwell and also extends towards the back of the house.
In addition, if collection of the carpet from the store is possible, that would be wonderful (not sure if that is part of the service!)
Hi I have got my flooring delivered and need it fitted soon as it is taking up a lot of space. I live in a small bungalow approx. 26-30 m2. I need it done in my corridor, kitchen and living area - as I live in a studio. I already have all of my furniture in my house so it will to be moved to fit the flooring. Please give me a quote but I am hoping the price will be low as my property is very small.
