The unit (250 cm W X 200cm H) needs to be dismantled and taken away to an appropriate dump, or reduced to a form suitable for collection by the local refuse collection facilities from the edge of the property. The main problem is the central door which is a 91cm W X 200cm H mirror.

Works are to comprise over boarding of the existing ceiling within each of the three bedrooms with one layer of 15 mm thick dense plasterboard fixed directly to the existing ceiling through to the joists above.
The ceiling board is to have a mass of not less than 12 kg per m2. A typical board that meets this criteria is 15 mm SoundBloc produced by British Gypsum. The ceiling board can either simply have joints filled and
taped and then redecorated or the joints filled and taped and a plaster skim applied prior to redecoration.
