I have found a slab at Gerald culliford in Kingston upon Thames and I would like a quote to cut it and fit it onto our kitchen and also to create a garden room able with the extra stone left.
could you please advise and I’ll share the plans with you?
Repair of 1st floor stone window frame, including removing paint, install lead flashing above hood stone, and replacement of brick cill with new stone. The stone is Bath stone. There maybe further work on the ground floor window and door surround at later date.
I need quotes for three items of work:
1. Rebuilding front steps up to house in heavy stone slabs supported on either side with stone. Most stone inc slabs can be reused.
2. Building a higher and curved retaining wall at the rear of back garden to a height of around 800mm, but sloping/stepping down to a lower height. Some stone can be reused, but will need additional plus footings and hidden blockwork to support this.
3. General tidying up of current garden stonework that needs re-setting plus laying of slabs at front of house to right of steps. Most existing stone reusable, but need slabs.
I've taken some pics but can't seem to attach these so can email. I will also have done some of the preparation ahead of the work (e.g. Digging out of the earth to make way for the terraced retaining wall), but am waiting to get some tree roots to be ground out next to the rear wall in the next week before doing this.
Approximate length of garden: 10m to 20m / 30ft to 60ft
Looking to get a rough idea of cost for a newbuild with some granite facings. c44m2 frontage, plus additional stonework to a glazed gable. Rest of the house to be blockwork and render. Ideally someone could do all the external skin.
