Complete Bathroom Refurbishment
We employed him to do our complete bathroom. Charged an arm and leg for it.No receipts provided.Assured warranty on shower and fittings. After a few months, the toilet seat cracked. Called him, no response. We now have a leaking shower. Messaged him. No response. Another plumber had a look and said the leak was due to bad workmanship. We now have to employ another plumber and builder to rectify a shoddy work. Kindly do not employ this (so called) plumber. He is bad news.

When I estimated your job, you had water running down the walls of your hallway from leaking bath and tiles which you had ignored for 18 MThs. When we removed the bath the floor, joists and ceiling below collapsed my labourer nearly fell through to the hall way below injuring himself. You, your wife and children could have fallen through at any time causing injury it was that bad..

it had rotted the floor joists and you had rampant wet rot working its way around your house. You were invoiced by me for £1775 labour and £1396.94 for your new bathroom suite and shower, as per the estimate you agreed with me after talking to some of my customers and you were charged no more.

The repairs to replace the floor joists, new floor and ceiling to hall way after cutting out all the wet rot and treating it against further rot and making good came to £1200 labour and £400 for materials, if you hadn’t neglected this water leak you could have saved this.

You also asked me to supply tiles to tile the hole bathroom, with adhesive that was £357.58. There were no surprises with the cost as you were informed with estimates which you agreed throughout the job. Your toilet seat cracked which I dully replaced with in day (never had one crack before), so that comment is not true!

I told you at the time my labour guarantee is for 6 months longer than the average for the trade which is usually 3 and any warranty issues with the equipment installed you would need to contact me (like you would with any shop) and I would take it up with the manufacturer.

You and your wife were very happy with the finish of the job. I asked you to rate me at the time as that is what Rated People is all about, you did not even after several prompts form Rated People. You decided to do this nearly 3 yrs. later because I didn’t reply to you text while on holiday. That is not rating the finished job.

Bathroom are not maintenance free just because you had it refurbished 3 years ago things wear as they are used!! My ratings with Rated people is a consistent 5 STARS witch you checked by speaking to them. All these customers can’t be wrong with their comments about my work and ethics which I carry to the highest standard.

The full condition of the bathroom was not known to us until the walls started leaking. You are the expert and not us. If we were the expert, we could have identified the problem and done the job ourselves.

The toilet seat was not of the correct fit you dumped(dropped in the house without even fitting it) on us and you never bothered to try and fit it to see if it was the right size etc etc. We struggled for months without a proper seat cover and found a solution of our own. You were of no help to us at all in this situation.

Doing up a full bathroom, one would expect it to function well for the very 1st 12-18 months. If not, I dont have to tell you about the quality of the job you have done.You had told me that there would be no issues for the next 15 years at the very least as you had vouched for the quality of your workmanship.But, the bathroom floor started leaking in the last few weeks and I messaged you. As usual, you were on holidays and the response was very belated and purely because of my comments on RatedPeople.

Doing up a full bathroom, Your guarantee for 6 months could be applicable for materials but for the actual workmanship it should not and cannnot apply.It is your workmanship that is the cause for the issue now.You blamed me for everything earlier.Now, speaking of your workmanship. It is very very below par and after all this, you havent taken a single step to solve my present issue but you have only responded here and tried to justify only here(on RatedPeople) whatever you have done so far.

If not, I dont have to tell you about the quality of the job you have done.Hence, providing a rating immediately after the job is done in these cases is useless and is no reflection of how the actual job has been done.Only over some time, we can identify the real quality of the workmanship (if any).

You dont respond to any issue(s) that arise at all or in time. Almost always on holidays. Dont bother to resolve my present issue as well as the previous one.You completely kept avoiding my messages to fix our toilet seat. We found our own solution in the end.Hence, when you get rated the very next day by people here is no reflection of what happens next when things go wrong after your shoddy workmanship.

We are not dealing in a perishable product here to provide a rating a day after consumption.Hope we all can understand that and stand by our customers who keep us in business and not take them for a ride.

The amount you have mentioned is wrong and I have the invoice dated 11th March 2015 to prove it. So, in effect what you quoted and what you took from me was way way higher and you will say anything to justify that now.

My customer ratings are all on rated people to see and they would all welcome a call to give me a reference. If you used rated people the ratings are provided when the job is complete , so customers can see the result not after nearly 3 years later . Regards Steve

Completed the work to a very high standard and on time.I really appreciate his methodical approach and attention to detail in the toilet installation work he carried out for me. I definitely use him again.

Called on the Monday for quote. Came out next day and gave quote. Work completed by Thursday. Very reliable fitted new electric shower and replaced kitchen faucet. Nice to have someone who turns up when they say the will and completed the job under quoted price to high standard. Will definitely be using again for any work I need doing. Definitely recommend you use Steves great service.
