Arron arrived when he said he would, provided a informative quote pack detailing the materials to be used, company history, insurance and previous work photo's. Carried the work out with no disruption and left the area tidy. Very pleased with the completed work, service and price, will use again & recommend.

Got Arron (ALS Roofing) from this website and can, without hesitation, recommend him for similar roofings jobs. Whilst only a young man, he gave what can only be described as good 'old fashioned' service. Very polite and hardworking and did a job that was very reasonably priced (insurance backed) and finished to my complete satisfaction. Thanks website, Thanks Arron.

An error occuring regarding the date the work was to be done, this caused a slight problem as i had booked a day off. But, the work was carried out to a high standard and exactly in the time specified.

A job well done and I'm quite fussy! Arron is exceptionally reliable, keeps you constantly informed of any issues or delays and makes sure that everything is tidied up before he leaves site. He's a complete breath of fresh-air compared to many people I've come across in the building trade. I would definitely recommend him to anyone and would definitely use again should the need arise.

Arron came to give me a quote on a non-urgent roof repair but ended up offering to clear and slab a section of my back garden with very limited access~ a job which I had also posted on Rated People but to which I had received no responses at all. I was slightly hesitant as he was not advertising garden services but he was enthusiastic and offered to do the work at the time I had wanted it done and for a very competitive price. He was punctual, reliable, unobtrusive and completed the job extremely competently within the predicted time-scale. I would have no hesitation in recommending him for similar garden-related jobs, despite it not being his primary area of expertise and I will certainly ask him to do the roof repair in the near future too.

What is the rough cost of replacing a car port roof? It is corrugated plastic at the moment, full of holes from the recent storm

  • Arron Sutton's Answer

Hi, to replace like for like with corrugated plastic sheets (Which I would not recommend) on a standard size one car carport could be done for around the £500. mark.It can take anything from a couple of hours to a days work depending on the situation and there are things like flashings to consider and condition of framework etc. To upgrade to a poly carbonate type roof with glazing bars which would last a lot longer this could increase the price to anything from £1000-£2000 depending on the individual situation. I hope this helps.
