Bryan contacted me minutes after I'd listed my job and arranged to survey the issue the next day. He turned up on time and accurately appraised the issue providing photos of the problem. His quote was provided and acceptable and the work scheduled for the next day, again providing photos of the work completed. Good test last night with the high wind and rain - all dry :o) The quality of his work exceeded expectation and came with a 10 year guarantee too. Thanks Bryan, great job, highly recommended.

On putting my job up with rated people, Bryan Dimmick virtually replied straight away. I was most impressed with his professionalism and knowledge of the job in hand. Quoted an agreed price and the job was finished within a week. Had one small hiccup but he addressed it straight away with no fuss, for that I was most impressed and would not hesitate recommending him highly enough. Well done Bryan, I wish all contractors had your professionalism and integrity.

Very prompt to contact me, professional but friendly. Quick to come round to quote and more than happy to explain what needed doing when i went up on the roof with him! Completed the job on a weekend to fit in around the weather forecast and job came in slightly under his original quote. Would recommend and will use in the future

Brilliant Service, my lettings agent came up with a £500 quote and that took a week to come. Bryan quoted £120 within 2 hours of posting the job and job completed within a total of 5 hours. Photo of repairs also sent so I could see what had been done, as I do not live at the property. Very Impressed

Very prompt on all occasions. Delivered precise quote within 12hrs which was competitive. Agreed date for work to be done and managed timing given difficult weather conditions and turned up exactly on time. Work done within time frame agreed (early actually) and guaranteed for 25 years. Quality of work appears to be very good and so far standing up to extremely heavy rain fall. Made no mess and left everything spotless. What more could one want. Oh of course invoice came in slightly less than agreed!

Someone has painted a wall and damp has come through leaving a stain on the walls

It's very unlikely the paint has caused the damp. There are many methods to try to stop damp. Get some local damp specialists to have a look. Ensure you get a few quotes to ensure a competitive price and the same diagnosis. Bryan BCD Roofing.

I have had one of your tradesmen round to view the work required so that he can prepare a quote, for fencing and gates, and asked about payment I.e. cheque on completion. He said that he normally has 50% paid in advance, so that he can buy materials, by bank transfer. Is this standard/normal practice? I've only ever paid on completion/receipt in the past.

Hi Advanced payments should not be something you have to agree to. If the job is costly and thousands then a materials deposit can be requested by a tradesman but this is still only on agreement. To my knowledge the solar PV industry is the only industry where a minimum 15% deposit must ne paid in advance. I recommend you get additional quotations and if you cannot find anybody else ask to company to carry out some work first before paying anything upfront. Once you build up some mutual trust they may well complete all works first,or yourself happy to pay in advance. Brian BCD Roofing.
