Casey replied pretty instantly, then arranged to come round that same day. He had a good idea of what the problem was, and said he had the part on his van. Called back to say when he was on the way, did the repair then and there and all working again! Price very reasonable and exactly as he had advised. Will definitely keep his number for the future.
