The roof has done before winter 2017. not cheap same as other roofers. there is a part about 5% of roof looks different from other parts, like a patch on roof, maybe run out of material. the connection of gut is loose, rain water pour from middle of gut when it is heavy rain. He has turn up once fix it, but it is broken again after a heavy rain. I tried ask him come back to fix it many times within 4 months, he did not come again, I give up to get him back. one ventilated fascia board fall down this year.

I've used rated people before and never come across this. I was under the impression that this was a free service for customers and a way of obtaining jobs for tradespeople. I've received a quote for a job I've posted and within this quote the tradesperson has added £10 for the cost of the lead for the job. Should I be paying him for buying my lead?

Like John Ireland replied " it's a business cost" and it should be added or included in the quote. There's a lot of people using rated people and not understanding how it works. We pay for leads upfront and many of the times customer don't even bother answering their phones .. leave alone getting the job. I hope this helps.

Hello, My new roof installation was started yesterday. It was raining and when i went into my bedroom the ceiling was wet. I went into the loft to look and i could see that the felt had been put on the ceiling but there was two slight holes in it. I could also see that there was no plywood on the roof. The roofer is coming back today to continue today (it is raining again). The builder said the roof could be done in the rain and he said yes it was no problem. when i asked ifthere would be any problems with the roof being done in the rain he said no. My question is should the roof be installed in the rain and what could the issues be if it was installed in the rain? The room that has been wet had only just been replastered and painted. Will this need replastering again? Thank you for any help you can offer.

No roofer will install felt membrane in the rain. He must be in a major rush if does that. The problem is that felt won't stick % and can course leaks in the future.
