Electrician

David was prompt and got the job done. I've since had him return to solve another problem and recommended him to a friend. At last I have the name of an electrician I can trust and call upon again.

David was the only person to contact me about the work I needed doing but I'm so glad he was. He came out on a bank holiday at no extra charge. Whilst undertaking the work required he was polite, courteous and friendly and didn't over charge . We will definitely being using David again in the future, outstanding. ??

Can you use a 13amp plug for a double oven
  • David Wall-Morris's Answer
    Sun 26 Jan 2014 12:39pm
If the oven is rated at 2.99Kw or less then it should come with a plug fitted. If higher then it needs to be hard wired in 6mm Twin & Earth.
Ian Atkinson's question

Can I install an additional earth rod to my Garage CU which is fed by my Domestic CU?
  • David Wall-Morris's Answer

When you say "additional rod" I assume that you have a TT system. It is more complex than you may think as I would not connect the Earth from the house CU if a new rod is going in, also the cable needs protection. The CU should not be metal if it is a TT system.
