Dave the builder/project manager oversaw the build and he was positive and helpful from day one. His attitude was that most things could be achieved and indeed they were. The team working for Dave was excellent - Daniel is an extremely talented builder and joiner further he was polite and a pleasure to have in the house. Shemek was a quality workman and decorator, All the other professionals used were on time and good. We are delighted with the finished kitchen it is even better than we had hoped for.

Dave and his team were brilliant in every way. Always came early and worked very hard. We were very pleased with the job that was done (changing kitchen roof) and would recommend this team to anyone. Dave was also prepared to give me a quote and book me in 3 months ahead. Fabulous.

I am so happy I asked Dave to fix my leaking sink and replace a faulty tap. He was very polite, professional, punctual and kept me totally informed throughout the work process. I would highly recommend him.

Note Dave did not do the work. He came when agreed (reliable) and discussed the way forward which involved the water company coming to visit and made the call on my behalf (very helpful). The blocker to proceeding with the work was failing to identify the external stop valve - it turned out to be the one that Dave had sugggested may be shared with the neighbour. It is unfortunate that he didn't check it at the time - I would have avoided the delay.

Responsive. Efficient. Reliable. Honest. Based on experience, competent for roof repairs, but would use specialist plasterer, carpenter and decorator for internal works.

Dave's a fantastic guy, very knowledgeable, trustworthy and reliable. I was so impressed with how quickly he turned this job around. We placed the ad on rated people on Friday morning, he called up within 10 minutes, was around to our house 2 hours later to quote on the job, and came back the next day to complete the job. Complete process turned around in 24 hours. He knows what he's talking about and his young apprentice was also fantastic. I will definitely be using him again and highly recommend him.

I was really pleased that at last I have found a builder I can trust, who's realiable and gets the job done quickly and expertly. I can't believe how quickly this job was turned around. Thank you to Dave and his team for mending my unmendable roof!

I strongly recommend D. C. Builders. I had a reply from them the same morning I posted my request, my window was fixed at lunch time! After they came they gave me a free quote which was a fair price. They were knowledgable and reliable and did a good job. I really appreciate their service and would choose them again.

Hi , yes you don’t need permission to Chang the roof covering, but need to check that the roof timbers would take the extra weight,

Re the electric shower, currently there is a Mira Jump 8.5kw unit there (not the multifit model) and I’m wondering if a 10.8kw or 9.5kw model can replace it using the existing supply, but I’m confused because the breaker is 32amp and even for the current 8.5 shower Mira talk about 40amp ( same for the 9.5kw ) and 45 amp for the 10.8kw. It says 2 x 6mm + 2.5 and the isolation switch doesn’t say anything externally?

Hi, you would need to upgrade the cable back to the consumer unit and the breaker
