We agreed an evening for Tyrone to come round. I asked twice for an estimate with no reply. I was partly to blame, I think I was expecting the visit to be a quotation opportunity. Anyway, he just sort of started and did the things I was looking to do and said he'd send an invoice. I was shocked. Tyrone wanted to charge £300 for: - Pat testing 23 appliances - Testing all socket outlets in property - Rewire and test ONE faulty socket outlet I negotiated him down to £250 as I found this unreasonable.
