Marcus and his team did an amazing job fitting a new ensuite shower room. Marcus suggested taking out an internal cupboard from the spare room next door to make the very small shower room much bigger. He approached the work as if he was doing it in his own home, with a lot of care. The results are absolutely fantastic, and we have Marcus coming back next week to do our main bathroom. Would definitely recommend based on our experience.

Marcus and his team are driven to do a great job. They helped rescue our roofing disaster and were polite, enthusiastic and committed to ensuring we were happy with the work. The price/quality ratio is very good and our new roof looks great. We did feel that the guys were extrememly busy and so the job did go on for a touch longer than we had hoped as they mostly worked weekends around other jobs. That said they always turned up and worked long hours. We would happily recommend the team. Thanks!

Marcus's USP is that he cares about the job as if he were doing it on his own account: in practical terms this means that he won't blindly follow the original course if he thinks there are better options as the job progresses. In short, much more than a "jobbing builder", with good and unusual design ideas.

I chose Marcus because he was available at short notice (within a week) and was willing to negotiate on the quote to meet my budget. His builders turned up on time and finished construction when expected. However, I was left with a few minor faults, mostly cosmetic, for a few weeks after completion. Even though I had already paid in full and there was no financial incentive to return, Marcus arranged for these to be corrected. I now consider the job complete so my rating takes this into consideration.

The quite we were given was very expensive for the work required. Very willing to take on the work but we thought this was a very high price company.

We had a great visit from Marcus who showed some great work and helped us realise we had seriously under budgeted. He has great energy and a nice approach. I would rather have this pragmatic approach instead of someone coming in and promsing the world then you are left with empty pockets .

Hi Jen, Please don't hand this sort of money with out something in writing either a stage payment plan, I think a tradesman who is credible should be able to front the money for the first part of the job our scaffolders don't want their money till it comes down, and most people have 30 day accounts. Check them out, get to a place where you feel in control . Regards Marcus

Should I book him as your blurb seems to suggest that I should go for rated people only.

Hi paul, I remember starting on this site over a year ago now and we were unrated, we knew we had a good team but none knew us via rated people, but soon people saw we were professional, helpful had integrity and passionate about our work, you will also see this in the tradesman who buy your lead, always, always go with your gut instinct it never lets you down. I have a saying it seems to work for me, if it starts right ie being on time getting the quote in when they say then the job ends right, as a rule. Good luck Marcus
