Ros Butler's question

I have received a call this evening from a gardener who says he has "bought" my job and wants to come and give me a Quote. I asked him what qualifications he had and he said he would send me some pics via what's app of work he had carried out this week and asked me to ring him back when I had looked at them. Within 10-15 minutes he rang me back asking if I had seen the pics. I said I hadn't looked at them yet, but he said he had tomorrow free and could he come round and see me and give me a quote. I said I was in bed resting at the moment but he said could he come round at lunch time tomo to have a look. He's very insistent, although sounds friendly enough, but I have no idea still of what his qualifications are or exactly what he can do other than he says he has a passion for gardening and would like to help. I feel very vulnerable and obliged to let him come round as he has "bought" the job but I feel stressed and under pressure. Is this procedure correct?
