Stoneworker / Stonemason

Courtesy goes a long long way. Had a chance but blew it. If he had been he would have been working on 10 of my properties right now.

In general, very good, reliable work finished to time and properly cleaned up on leaving. Happy to pop back to follow up. Pleasant people to deal with.

Excellent. I really felt confident speaking to Nathan about the job. He quoted quickly. I contacted him when planning permission came through for other works, he was very accommodating time wise. His team used proper tools for the job, not an adapted screwdriver to rake out the joints, so the repointing was to a constant depth of 20mm all around. Not a cheap job but when you see it’s done properly and the amount of work involved you don’t mind paying. Good job by a team team mindful of tenants and public.

The guys did a good job repointing the two walls. Only disappointment was, We were told Nathan would pop up and re hang the wires that they took down, also when the scaffolding came down there were a couple of places that got missed with the repointing that I informed Nathan about . Nathan informed me he would pop up and sort this ,but after several emails Nathan seems to be ignoring me.

A first class job from start to finish - Nathan's communication was excellent, when he said he'd return my call he did, and when the day of the work commenced, I was not disappointed - great prep work to protect property and arrived very promptly indeed. Wouldn't hesitate to use Focalpoint again in the future. Many thanks.

NB The clean-up a little slipshod as a blocked gutter was overlooked... but this one criticism far outweighed by an otherwise excellent job. Nathan went the extra mile for me, as (not part of this job) he also fitted a chimney cowl - tricky job that had defeated a so-called chimney specialist. So refreshing to find a good tradesman who you feel is on your side.

Nathan and his team did an excellent job. They arrived on time, worked a long day and left everything clean and tidy when they finished. They were easy and pleasant to have around and I have no hesitation at all in recommending them to other people.

I contacted Focal Point for a specific task and advice. They advised me that the task was unnecessary and that a simpler and cheaper alternative was suitable. I found the honesty displayed very refreshing. The work carried out was on time and at a price I was happy with. I would happily recommend Focal Point to others and I would use them again.

Hi Greg, likely cost will be £1740 plus scaffold if required. If you allow £300 for scaff that should cover it.

Jamie Bryan's question

Hi. My red brick semi was built in 1903 and needs repointing (whole house). Funny enough, so does my neighbours! Can I expect a discount for doing 2 properties if they are done at the same time, or won't it matter. Many thanks for your advice. Jamie

Good evening Jamie, any reduction in price will be down to the individual contractor, that being said, you will find yourself in a strong position to ask for at least a partial discount.
