The guys did a good job repointing the two walls. Only disappointment was, We were told Nathan would pop up and re hang the wires that they took down, also when the scaffolding came down there were a couple of places that got missed with the repointing that I informed Nathan about . Nathan informed me he would pop up and sort this ,but after several emails Nathan seems to be ignoring me.

NB The clean-up a little slipshod as a blocked gutter was overlooked... but this one criticism far outweighed by an otherwise excellent job. Nathan went the extra mile for me, as (not part of this job) he also fitted a chimney cowl - tricky job that had defeated a so-called chimney specialist. So refreshing to find a good tradesman who you feel is on your side.

Nathan and his team did an excellent job. They arrived on time, worked a long day and left everything clean and tidy when they finished. They were easy and pleasant to have around and I have no hesitation at all in recommending them to other people.

I contacted Focal Point for a specific task and advice. They advised me that the task was unnecessary and that a simpler and cheaper alternative was suitable. I found the honesty displayed very refreshing. The work carried out was on time and at a price I was happy with. I would happily recommend Focal Point to others and I would use them again.

Karl Pearson's question
Sat 21 Jul 2018 16:03pm
Hi there, I was look for some advice I have a single brick that is missing mortar from one edge. Looks like it never had any from when the house was built a few years ago but I have only just seen it as it is down the side of the house that isn't used. My question is how to fill it? How do you stop the mortar just pushing into the cavity on the other side of the brick that I cannot access? Thanks in advance.

Good morning Karl, what you describe sounds like a weephole. These allow any water that has found its way into the property to escape. If this is the case you certainly shouldn't be attempting to fill the void. I hope this helps.

Good evening Steed. As a rough guide allow between 40 pounds and 60 pounds per square meter depending on mortar type and joint style. Average meterage for the front elevation of a 2 storey property is around 20m2 Allow 300 pounds for scaffold. Total cost likely to be between 1,100 pounds and 1,500 pounds If you are in the Kent area please look us up. FocalPoint Repointing
