Not ideal. Poor communication. Had agreed to get 2 jobs done. One was to fix a hole in my roof the other to install new handles on internal doors. He couldn’t come on the first agreed date (fair enough jobs overrun), said he’d come on the Monday but didn’t turn up or text or phone. When I text on the Tuesday he said on reflection the locks were more suited to being done by a carpenter. Feel like I’ve been messed about here. Now having to organise someone else.

Hugh quoted £200 for tidying my mums overgrown garden AFTER seeing it. Spent 4 1/2 hours doing it then said he’d need another £100. He was going to do it every 3 wks to keep it up. He spent, in total, 6 hours max (£50 ph) I questioned how little had been done, the lawn and bits of the laylandii had been cut and weed killer sprayed. He said it was too high for him to finish - which was main part of the job I’d hired him to do. Said he’d be back and I have never heard from him since. Very disappointed.

Hugh is amazing! My garden was lost under weeds and overgrowth. I felt like weeping every time I looked out the window, knowing we are now not able to do anything about it. In just under 5hrs he had cleared, pruned, weeded and cut back a near-30ft long out-of-control hedge. He is an excellent hard worker who takes pride in his work, clears up after himself, and we are now looking forward to him coming every few weeks to maintain it for us. I can now look out on our garden and smile.

Hugh is an unexpected gem. A Tradesman who you can trust 100% and who does a great job. The initial job there was to assemble two desks for my kids, but due to the quality of his work, I got him to do additional work in terms of removing secondary glazing and fixing the steps on stairs up to the loft. Hugh kept me fully up to date as to when he would come and he turned up on time and left no mess after his work. Will have no hesitation in using him again. Thanks Kerr

Charged £50 ..just for strimming the garden.was there for approx 1 hr 45mins a bit expensive for less than 2 hrs work.But it was a very over grown mess..just not happy with the price
