Plumber

Job done efficiently without problems. Ian is an experienced plumber and friendly person to deal with. Would ask him to do other jobs without hesitation and would recommend anyone to hire him.

Plumber

Gratifyingly quick response from IMA: he called up, arranged to come next day, and showed up when promised. By which time, leaking taps had risen to three. IMA got stuck in, re-placed kitchen tap (head badly chewed-up), freed and re-bedded bathroom tap cartridge, and replaced the third taps (which was fitted impossibly tight to tiles). Very impressed with Iain's care & effort to free stuck cartridges, and with his diligence in making good all repairs: clearly a plumber of much experience and expertise.

Plumber

Iain was very fast to respond with an offer to do the work. He then visited the house and was able to do all the work with the right parts on the first visit. Good value for money.

Gas / Heating engineer

Very quick to respond and arrived when he said he would to offer the quote. Boiler and radiators replaced on the day arranged and the house was left tidy, all of the old radiators and the boiler were taken away. One small hiccup noticed on the evening it was fitted and he was out the following morning to make right. No hesitations in recommending IMA Group. Well done guys.

I live in a 3 bedroom detached house. I have 11 radiators throughout and 3 toilets. I am getting confusing advice from quotes. Some quotes have said a combi boiler 30kw would be best and others state that a combi boiler would not be suffice and that I need a normal boiler. Also some have stated that I need to have thermostats on every radiator by law, others say I only need them in the bedroom. some have said that I need a new flu others have stated I don't. I have been quoted from £2000 to £4500. please help!

Hi Neil Your boiler would depend on your hot water usage, I take it you have a main bathroom, an en suite and a small toilet down stairs for visitors, if you have electric showers in the bathrooms the 30k combi would do, if you have thermostatic showers you have to think would a combi cope with someone running a bath and someone having a shower at the same time, some people go for a normal boiler and a water tank that gives you hot water at mains pressure (unvented domestic hot water tank, fast tank) as they can be called so look at the hot water the combi will produce ltrs per minute, as for the thermostatic valves this is a new one to me. My washing machine recently started making a funny noise & now doesn't work. The drum doesn't spin so it could be the belt or the motor but I don't know whether I need a plumber or an electrician
