Plasterer / Renderer

Andy turned up when he said he would, talked through different renders at different price points to suit our budget. Never got the 'hard sell'. Came round with samples of textures and colours to ensure we were happy. Work completed in agreed timeframe and to a very high standard. Explained process at each stage, making sure we were happy with the finish. Meticulous care taken to make sure that pipes, cables etc were properly rendered round leaving a very smooth finish. Would highly recommend.

Andy was prompt, turned up bang on time both times, did a great job and left the place clean. I couldn't ask for better. Communication was excellent as I told him rather last minute when I wanted it done. I will definitely be getting him to do more work.

Plasterer / Renderer

Quoted for one job then scope of quote increased to deliver much more involving plumbing, plastering, carpentry and flooring. Turned up when they said they would - very considerate and nice blokes. Cleaned up after themselves. Only gripe is that they had a limited time for my job, as they got to the end of the week, they started to rush and the attention to detail appeared to slip at times. All rectified to a good standard. I've asked LCS to quote for other stuff, and would definitely use them again.

Plasterer / Renderer

They came in to skim over the textured paint on my ceilings. The new plaster looks great, it was all cleaned up nicely. They were all really helpful and friendly, I wouldn't hesitate to reccomend them to anyone else. Thank you,

Plasterer / Renderer

Excellent service, very clean and tidy job. Andy even went the extra mile in his own time to help us with a leaky radiator after the job was done. Although it was no fault of his, he took us to the local DIY to source the part and help us fix it at no extra cost. Will definitely use his services again.

JJ Pendleton's question
Sun 4 Sep 2016 23:37pm
How many acrows are needed either side of the gap to support two floors/ceilings above? Do the planks need to be in good condition? Should the acrows be 100% upright? Should the top and bottom of the acrows be central to the planks above and below?

Good morning, Without sounding patronising this is not a project where you ask questions like the above and proceed. There are many aspects into removing a load bearing wall, is it floor bearing, the type of roof structure above, steel calculations, this should also be completed under a building notice which I'm sure you have in order but for me the fact that you need to ask these questions clarifies that you need a qualified tradesmen to remove this wall, the last thing you want is for the structure to collapse so I would certainly recommend you get someone in to needle this prior to start, the steel must be inside the supports prior to start also as if not you may not be able to get it in place for the acros after wall removal. I would strongly recommend you use a skilled tradesmen for this project. Feel free to give me a call where I'm sure I can help point you in the right direction if you are not local to our company. I have already rated my decorator twice for Checkatrade (which now seems to be called 'rated people') using the standard written Checkatrade form; he has now done another job for me which he has asked me to report to you on his performance, and we thought I could do it online but I can't find an online assessment form to use - is there one?

Hiya Ruth, Checkatrade and rated people are not the same company, I know this because we are members of both, For Checkatrade you fill out a response form given to you by your tradesmen or you can do it online after they have completed works, for rated people the tradesmen has to have bought the lead (project) through the rated people website, once your tradesmen has completed his project he has to 'request feedback' on his rated people website and you will be sent an email by rated people where you can fill out your testimonial, he can use customer feedback from rated people on Checkatrade also but he cannot cross over a testimonial to rated people from any other website unless he found you through rated people.
