Mick did a great job on what was a fiddly bit of work replacing rotten window cull and uprights. He turned up on time to give quote and for the job. Even when he had to make the new cill himself instead of buying it off the shelf there was now extra cost. Kept the place tidy and swept up each. Would recommend him for similar work. I am extreme pleased with the repairs to the back porch and front door. The porch was in a very bad condition and now looks new. Everything was completed to a high standard, and would definitely use Mike from M.I. Joinery again and highly recommend him.

Floor fitters

Mick arrived on time was clean and tidy, kept me informed throughout the job on how it was going and cleaned up after too. The quality of the flooring fit was excellent and my room looks great. Will hire again. Thanks

Carpenter / Joiner

Mick did a very good job repairing my porch, using skill and ingenuity when the problem turned out to be much worse than either he or I had thought. He worked very hard (in extremely hot weather) and charged a very fair price for the work done.

Not replied to my calls/ messages. Never came back to finish job started, had to appoint another trades person. The final finish was not done to much of high standards either, other tradesman very surprised by how things have been done.

Everything was fine. Just need to check how strong is the wardrobe, how long it lasts (from the firmness of joints perspective). Wait and see. But, other things were fine.

I don't seem to be doing very well with the jobs I pick, most have not responded either by chat, by text, by e-mail or by telephone, in fact there have been a couple of occasions when the phone number is not recognised ? Either I've just been unlucky or there's something wrong with the way RP vett the people who post jobs up,I think punters should pay a small fee to advertise their job which would be refunded once their job had been completed by one of the RP members who responded and secured the job. Two of the leads i responded to said they were looking to have the work done in the next two months but when I eventually managed to get a response out of them after 4 days they had already arranged a start date with someone else, this despite myself being the 1st and only one to respond to their job. Seems like nothing changes with the punters, if a service is free they'll take advantage and waste your time. Bottom line is I want a refund on these jobs so how do I do it ?

It’s hard in the beginning to get going and you can’t expect to have a full time business through RP, most traders use the app to fill in gaps in there week, however I’m sure a lot can use this site as a full time business. To get a refund on jobs with no answer etc from the customer, you must first have some 5* ratings, and click report the lead on your job and tick the boxes. They are a lot of time wasters and the customers don’t realise how much it costs depending on there budgets to get there details, even if they hand pick you from the site and ask you a question it costs money to reply as it generates as a lead. Chose your jobs wisely, pick out the small jobs that are ready to go quickly and build up your ratings. Good luck.

If you purchase a bathroom suite on behalf of a client and that suite comes with a 5 year guarantee, would you give them the receipt as proof of purchase so that they can use the guarantee?

Yes they should,Try to contact the supplier if you know where your tradesmen purchased it from, and give them there name and if it’s genuine the tradesmen would of even used your name as a reference when purchasing,if they find you on file they would sort the guarantee for you.
