Builder

Mike and team did an excellent job of the refurbishment of our enclosed porch and ensured all the little details were taken care of. A very friendly team for whom nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely use again.

Bathroom fitter

Started week late (weather). Arrived 08:00 Mon morn. When asked told finished by Friday. I did not ask which one? I was On-site whilst job was being done so plenty of film watching. Biggest thing was lack of communication because Thurs Eve got another Email, Needed money for wages as job was more than a week, News to me. I think it was slower than expected waiting for parts. Drop 1 star as neighbour still sweeping pavement a week later (She likes chocolates), Another as 2 jobs remaining?? Would use again

Carpenter / Joiner

Hired Mike to hang a new front door. Took the job and had it fitted it quickly, used our own door and door furniture but made sure everything was going to be ok before coming round to fit it. Door was actually hung by Steve, one of his carpenters. Very happy with the end result, was all professionally done, highly recommended.

Carpenter / Joiner

Mike repaired an external door for us that required some repair to the door frame, planing and re-painting. He was very proficient in his work, clean and tidy and did a good job on what was already a rather old door. He has a friendly and approachable manor which made it easy to communicate with him. We would certainly use him in the future for any property maintenance work we require.

Bathroom fitter

Excellent service. I had a recent bad experience with an installer who left my bathroom practically unusable. Many people weren't interested in the job as it involved making good someone else's work. Mike was extremely helpful from the onset and willing to take on the job. He provided several costed options for putting the work right. I feel he was genuine and trustworthy - he made no attempt to push the most expensive options, and in fact promoted one of the cheapest alternatives as the best solution.

I have a 2.5 x 4.75m brick built shed building at the end of the garden. Boards and laminate flooring were laid a few years ago, but the wood became rotten and laminates buckled. These have been removed. Underneath is concrete that covers most of the floor space though uneven. What are my options? I just want to use the room to store garden stuff, kids bikes, gym kit etc.

Is there a DPC in the brick ?? You could insert a floating floor with DPC . Under the timber frame

Why does my boiler keep cutting out? I've been assured from a boiler man that the boiler itself is fine. It seems like there is air in the pipes. If I turn the thermostat up high and leave both the hot water and central heating switches turned on on the control panel then I can hear gurgling in the pipes near the boiler. After 5 minutes I am able to press the reset button on the boiler and it fires up. All of the radiators are heating up and have been bled. Could there be an airlock somewhere in the pipes that only affects the boiler, and if so what do I need to have done to correct the problem?

Is there a separate pump on the system ?? ...does the boiler have a air release valve on the top ?? How long does it take for the boiler to cut out from start up ??
