Nigel and his team did a professional job and within the indicated time scale and budget. In addition, Nigel was helpful in making suggestions and sourcing materials such as special light switches which we had had some difficulty in locating. He was prepared to go the extra mile and it was a pleasure to deal with him.

Nigel and his team were great. They are friendly, professional and we left them to Rewire wire our house whilst we were out during the day. They made sure we had an electric supply and the house was clean and tidy for us in the evenings. Nigel is very knowledgable and advised us throughout the job to make sure we would be happy with the end result. They managed to finish a complete re-wire of our 3 bed semi, garage, greenhouse and outdoor lights in just 3 days whilst we were living there. Great Job.

Nigel arrived on time & was very quick to diagnose our problem which turned out to be a supply problem to our house. He was on the phone to Northern Grid & arranged for the engineers to call out & fix the supply to our house. We now have the electricity back on. I would just like to thank Nigel for his quick response & his professional manner in which he dealt with our problem. I would definitely recommend him. Shame I could not give him 6 stars. Thanks again.

Gave a fair quote for the work we required. Arrived on time to start the work and came up with some good ideas which have really helped. Rather than just doing the minimum work required, Nigel has added a few extra touches and ideas that have added value. I will be using these guys again for a project I have lined up in 6 months and would recommend to any residential customer or developer who wants a descent team to come in and do a great job for a fair price.

This guy let me down at short notice, he had the opportunity to come the next day but did not show or contact me to say he was not coming.

We've used NTSL for two full rewires as well as other smaller jobs. Can't fault them one bit. Very professional, efficient and excellent value. Jobs are left clean and tidy. Nigel really knows his stuff and is very conscientious.

I've been advised to have the VIR electrical cabling replaced in my 1950's semi-detached 2-bedroomed house. How vital is this and how expensive/disruptive is this? Thank you.

Hi Diane, It is quite vital to make sure your house insurance will be valid to replace that type of wiring. Also that type of cable was not made to withstand the types of stress today's electronics can put on circuits so therefore you should look at replacing it all really. For a full rewire you could be talking in the region between 2/3k depending on your requirements and needs. If it's just circuits and not a full rewire it's hard to say without looking. Where is your property? Nigel.

Hi, I'm looking at selling my house soon (I bought as new build in 2000). I had some work carried out years ago which to be honest I had clean forgot about, and I'm trying to figure out if I need a Part P Cert for it ... Looking online I don’t think so, but don’t want any nasty surprises down the selling process so thought best to check. 1. Single Socket Spur In the bed room for a TV Taken from a double socket in the bedroom with twin and earth Goes vertically up in the wall cavity into loft space, across the loft floor for a short distance, then back down into the wall cavity for the new socket behind the TV. Approx. 3 meters I would say. 2. House Alarm Twin & earth Fused spur taken from the lighting ring in the loft. And also feeds the bell box on the outside wall, with the cable running over the loft floor. It was done that long ago I've got no chance of tracking the person down who did it, even if I could remember..... But I’m hoping that there both non notifiable pieces of work so I'm ok for selling my home? Thanks for your time. Fin

Hi Fin Your Electrical Installation Certificate will now be out of date anyway as they only last 10 years. If you get an Electrical Installation Confition Report done then that will cover all work, even the bits added after the first installation. This will highlight any problems or potential problems if any. There shouldnt be many issues with it being a new build from 2010. The extra work you have had done I cant speak for though.
