Gardener / Landscape gardeners
Brilliant job completed on my garden lawn project with minimum fuss. Dale & team were friendly, polite and knowledgeable - highly recommended.

I had a mixed bag with Summer landscapes. Communication was generally good, price was fine. They turned up a day later than agreed, but OK. The paving itself looks decent enough at this stage. Unfortunately the way they did the job was a bit daft - they put the drainage channel where no water was going to drain into it, rendering it entirely pointless. When I raised this and a couple of other points, they were defensive and have yet to admit/apologise for making a bit of a mess of things. Hard to recommend.
I suggested to john hunter that you need drainage on both sides of the drive but along with the drainage, plus the couple of other points, mr hunter didn't want to pay any extra because he doesn't reside there and is just the landlord. So only wanted a cheap job. After it was done, he has now realised I was right and has tried to pass blame rather than admit he was wrong. Take advice from a professional instead of wanting everything done on the cheap!!

After offering Mr Hunter solutions to other issues that he had flagged up before work had commenced, i.e. Uneven Lawn and sunken pathway which upon completion of the driveway would have resulted in the levels around the driveway being in the correct position. The driveway was laid perfectly flat, as all of ours are but both separate quotations for the sunken path and lawn we're not even entertained.

Mr Hunter made it very clear that as he was only the landlord of the property, he wasn't willing to spend any more money on the project regardless of the finished look. A bad attitude from a typical, tight landlord.

What a load of tosh! I was happily prepared to spend £700 extra on permeable block paving rather than the kind that we ended up using because they didn't want the hassle. Money, despite what the contractor says, had nothing to do with it. They were £500+ dearer than another quote from RP.
The fact is that the channel drain was put in the wrong place and they failed to take account of the uneven lawn when they started the job. And as you can see, they refuse to take any responsibility for it.
