I need to raise the height of the downstairs ceiling (locally) in the region of the stairwell. The celing is currently pinned into the front of the house and supports a block work internal wall. I believe a lintel/section will be needed to support the block work above.
Stewart (of Templegate) did a very good job and the total cost was reasonable. He was polite, worked hard and kept the work area clean and tidy. I would happily recommend Stewart for similar jobs. Sam
None of the categories fit this job! I have a small dormer window on the landing of the 2nd floor of my house which is leaking badly. The leading must have eroded and rain is coming though the window.
Highly recommended. Efficient and knowledgeable. anne

This job is located in NG6 (Highbury Vale) and has to be complete by 14/12/11 and I wish to keep the bricks that are removed during the process.
The job was done to my specification and to a good standard. I would recommend Richard to anyone - the price was fair, the job well done (at the time agreed) and you can't ask for moire when dealing with tradesmen. I have already agreed to other jobs to be with Brooks Building as I am happy with the work.VICTOR
very pleased with my choice in builder as russell is a very polite hard working individual that i felt really made us feel we had made the right choice from day one...they came on time everyday for 6 weeks, they were tidy and had excellent manners and the workmanship was of the highest quality.
Russell is very experienced in all areas of building and took care of all the council paperwork for the project that really helped us.

We have a bedroom that leads into a bathroom and want to create a corridor to seperate the rooms. This requires putting up an internal wall and possibly taking down part of an exisiting wall. We would want the work done to a decorate finish
The work was done in the time agreed by Richard and his team. They were on time every day and the finsh of the work was done really well. The price was competetive and overall we were really happy with the whole experience.Nicole
I am look for a building tradesman to pull down two walls (at least one is load bearing) so we can create a large kitchen diner. There will be some plumbing and electrical work to relocate/ remove fittings, wiring & pipework etc attached to these walls and plastering to make good ceilings and walls. The walls are approx 4 metres long. Its a new build property (1986). We would also like to have new french doors installed, which will mean widening the existing opening and possibly another radiator. We would also like to have the 2 dormer windows on our bedroom insulated and clad with wood or wood effect (separate job).

We have a stone pillar approx 4ft high, 2ft wide, 1ft deep, This has been knocked down, but some stone still remains in the foundation. Require someone to replace this with a normal fence post so that we can close the gate.
Have looked into getting the stone pillar repaired, but involves rebuilding it and too costly.
