Hi - lounge needs decorating. Fairly large room (approx 6m x 5m). Painting only (no wallpaper), celing, walls & woodwork (2 x windows 2 x doors). Beams, on both celing & walls split the room & although don't need painting in themselves, there's a bit of 'tidying up' to be done between beams & walls/celing (nothing a bit of flexible filler won't sort out!)
Kris has been a pleasure to deal with from start to finish & I would not hesitate to recommend his work. My initial Rated People enquiry was swiftly followed up with a home visit & (very reasonable) quote emailed all in less than 48 hours. The standard of decorating work completed in my lounge has been superb & the extremely neat & tidy approach to what can be a disruptive process, exemplary. I am delighted with the end result & will, for sure, be contacting The Quantock Handyman again in the future for any works required. Thank you Kris - you've done an excellent job!

Modern executive style house (although not over large) with 4 bedrooms in Bridgwater Somerset. Empty at present and needs decorating throughout before mid April. This is a house owned by a church and budget is tight. Upstairs = 4 bedrooms (1 en-suit), 1 family bathroom, Landing area. Downstairs = Living room, Dining Room (small), kitchen (small), Utility Room, Large Conservatory (wall approx 800mm high on three sides), Study, Entrance hall. No doors or windows to paint. Only gloss required on door frames and skirting.
Very happy with what was done. The results are good, done within the time we agreed and without any problems. The quotation was the lowest we received but it seemed that Stephen was the one that was actually bothered about doing the job. He also did a good job of clearing up afterwards. Happy to recommend Stephen to anyone.

We have a two-storey Victorian semi-detached townhouse that needs exterior painting, including walls, window and door frames. Looking at the front of the house we have a large sash window (lounge) with adjacent windows (attached to main window) . Above is a large sash-window on first floor (main bedroom). To the left of these is the front-door and porch (includes side window) and above the porch is a small sash window (4th bedroom) by the side is the kitchen, with a total of 3 windows (including two sash-corded) and an upstairs window (toilet). At the rear, the groundfloor utility room has a total of 3 windows and a glazed back door leading into the garden. Above the Utility room and kitchen are the bathroom and bedroom 3, each of these rooms has double-casement windows). At the rear side of property is a garden door full-height connecting back living room with garden. Above that is a first-floor sash window (Bedroom 2) The whole area was last painted approximately 5 years ago. Whilst the main walls are in good overall condition, some of the stone window surrounds need some minor filling. The window frames show signs of weathering. the stone cornices on the corners of the building show signs of weathering.
An excellent quote from a nice guy, but he was not prepared to sign a contract of engagement. So with great regret, we decided not to proceed.
