My tweeny waste disposal unit is blocked.
When switched on, it has power and sounds as if the blades are going round, but the water level in the sink does not reduce. I have disconnected the U-bend (as that's what normally gets blocked), but it is clear, so the blockage would appear to be from the unit to u-bend.

We have a sewage smell coming from our bathroom toilet. It appears to be coming from the U-bend area rather than from the toilet bowl. Other drains in the bathroom do not smell bad. After the toilet is flushed the smell is the worst - if it has not been flushed for a long time, for example, overnight, the smell is diminished but doesn't go away.
Water is able to drain from the sink, bath and toilet without a problem. I can't see any noticeable leaks from any of the visible pipes.
This has recently started to happen - in the last week or so.
