3 steamed up windows in a one bed flat in maltby need replacing. do not have exact measurements - one is a beroom with an opening window, one is lounge with no opening and the other is in kitchen with an opening. i guess you will need to visit to measure and quote regards terry

Conservatory – This will involve the removal and making good of a lower section of a kitchen window and another single window to gain internal access to the conservatory. The style of conservatory is presently being considered but the whole process will be required to be managed by the contractor. This will require further clarification during a site visit. Window & Door Replacement – There are 4 bay windows that will need to be replaced. In addition some single glazed units need replaced and two external doors fitted. I am probably looking to buy these and have them fitted unless a competitive price is given for the style in mind.

Glazing

Windows are essential for a bright, airy home and as they a part of the fabric of a building they need to be looked after and maintained properly.

Glazing comes in all sorts of styles and sizes - older houses may still have single glazing whereas new homes and any new glazing in an old home by law have to have double or secondary glazing. Double glazing helps to cut out noise from outside, helps keep burglars out and also insulates your home so you lose less heat and save money on your heating bills.

Windows for loft conversions

For loft conversions, a window specialist will probably recommend you have Velux windows installed which allows the light to flood in through the roof angle. If you're extending your loft then you may be able to get dormer windows installed which have the same effect.

Window repairs

Find a recommended window specialist to do your all your window repairs, maintenance and installation. Period homes may require window repairs. Sash windows may need to be re-corded so they open and close smoothly. Any timber window, even a hardwood window, may need rotten parts replaced.

Window maintenance

All timber windows periodically require resealing and repainting. Getting a glazier or window fitter to work on your house is hopefully a one-off job, so it's worth getting someone recommended. A recommendation of someone you can trust to do a good job is essential.
