Hello,
I have recently bought a house and noticed the cellar has a strong damp smell (with a slight sulphur smell). This smell spreads throughout the house and is becoming quite unbearable.
I'm wondering if anyone has any advice on combatting this smell? I can't really afford to fully tank the cellar at the moment.
There is a radiator in the cellar at the moment that doesn't work. If I get this fixed, could this help the situation? I have a dehumidifier in the cellar that fills up within 2 hours and I'm not home to constantly empty it.
There is an old vent in the cellar, that looks like the old coal chute. It seems to be blocked up. Could clearing this out also help?
